Thailand Sandbox Program: COVID-19 7 Day Quarantine – Royal Thai Government approved that the fully vaccinated foreign tourists can now visit Thailand via the relevant sandbox (as mentioned below) program. The tourist can stay for only seven days before being able to move on to other parts of Thailand.
- Surat Thani(Ko Samui, Ko Pha-ngan, and Ko Tao)
- Phang-Nga (Khao Lak and Ko Yao)
- Krabi (Ko Phi Phi, Ko Ngai and Railay Beach)
The sandbox program means that fully vaccinated tourists can now travel straight to the designated areas of Phang-Nga and Krabi. Tourist upon landing in Phuket can stay there for seven days.
As Thailand is soon to reopen on November 2021 since 70% of people are expected to be vaccinated by the end of October 2021, still, Covid-19 Insurance (You can click here if you want to buy online.) is mandatory to enter the Kingdom to obtain the Certificate of Entry of COE.
A Certificate of Entry or CoE is one of the requirements for those Thai Nationals and Foreign Nationals who are planning to come to Thailand. This document permits the individual by confirming that you have passed the entry requirement as set by the Thai government.
Another prerequisite for both nationalities is to undergo quarantine at any of the accredited Alternative State Quarantine or ASQ Hotels accredited for the Ministry of Health. Regardless of the vaccine, the travelers have had, isolation is still a must.
Thailand is now welcoming travelers from any country in the world to the ‘Sandbox’ program.
